Game-Ready Piloted Mining Mech.
Real-time game-ready hard-surface 3D model.
Miner Mech is a game-ready piloted mining mech built as a real-time asset. I organized the project in Blender and handled hard-surface modeling, low- and high-poly modeling in Blender and ZBrush, UVs in RizomUV, baking in Marmoset Toolbag 5, PBR texturing in Substance 3D Painter, and simple skeletal rig with constraints. The model is 60k triangles and uses six 4096 px UDIM sets with Base Color, Roughness, Metallic, and Normal maps, following the original commission’s material-slot requirements. The rig demonstrates the mech’s mechanical articulation. I built a small mine environment in Unreal Engine 5 with Lumen, Niagara dust/smoke/particles, local fog/volumetrics, and post-process, captured in real time via CineCamera and Movie Render Queue.

Animation of the jackhammer operation. Looks kinda familiar, huh? :)
